Plugins Method (Recommended) if you  want the easiest way.

There are tons of plugins available to add Google Analytics to your site. However, it is  best to just use a simple light-weight plugin like:

Insert Header and Footer(Check compatibility with blog)

Paste the Google Analytics code in the plugin’s setting page.

In the Header box .

Second method Direct Paste Method

Copy the code that you received, and paste it in your theme’s header.php right after the <body> tag.

Try this if you are confident and have no plans of changing themes.

Warning : Take a full backup of your site before you do anything with your blog theme.

You can also take a backup from your Cpanel dashboard.
