Mompreneur’s blogging journey featured: Neha Jain the digimother

It’s mompreneur interview time today. My guest for today is Neha Jain the digimother .

Whenever I interview bloggers for interview ,it’s interesting how I recognize a part of me in each of them.

Neha  is a devoted mother to a little girl. Her blogging journey too is largely influenced by  motherhood adventures and her zeal to be financially  independent .

She  is a digital marketing professional turned mommy blogger. She holds 5 years of experience in the digital marketing industry and is an MBA by qualification. Neha was born and brought up in Delhi and recently, moved to Chandigarh with her hubby and 2-year old toddler. Currently, she is exploring her new role as a mother and is pretty excited about her venture: http://www.digimother.com/.

Who is your  audience?

Primarily, new moms and mom-to-be and secondarily, whoever wants to read my content and feel happy after reading it.

How many blogs do you manage?

I have two blogs. One is self-hosted and the other is created on mycity4kids.com

Best blog design tips from your experience

It should be simple and classy.

How do you manage family, work and personal care? Give us your best time management tips.

This is the most difficult thing when you work-from-home. We WAHMs are always occupied and short of time. Still, things have to be done and delivered. Prioritizing things is very important. Don’t run. Take a deep breath, have a cup of hot tea/coffee (whatever you like) and plan things. Never compromise with your looks and hygiene. Go to the parlour and relax. I prefer going on weekends, when hubby is home.

Your inspiration and favourite quote.

I feel inspired by great works of other people. I feel “if they can do and then I too can do”.
I like many quotes but here I would like to mention this quote on Life:-

“Life is 10% what happen to us and 90% how we react to it.” – Dennis P. Kimbro

Tell me the story of your first -time earning as a blogger

It happened when someone contacted me on Twitter for an event in Chandigarh. Read about the event here: http://www.digimother.com/boschevent/

What resources would you recommend for getting own blog started. Give us your traffic tips, monetization tips.

If you are blogging just as a hobby, you can do it for free using platforms like blogger and wordpress.com but if you want to pursue professional blogging then you need to spend some bucks for purchasing your domain name, hosting and web-designing. I think the best way to get traffic is to read and comment on others’ blogs. The other way that I find very effective in increasing the blog traffic is participating in blogging challenges. I know it is a pain but it’s worth the effort.
As far as monetization is concerned, pitch yourself in Facebook groups like media movements, become active on Twitter and Instagram. Sign up on influencers platforms like Blogmint.com and become an active part of blogging community like #blogchatter.

Tips & Your message for struggling Bloggers

Although I am very new to share any expertise on this, but I suggest give it your best shot and take help from fellow bloggers. People are there to help and guide you. You just need to ask for it. Never give up!

What’s your vision with this venture?

Initially I started this blog with a vision to help new moms and moms-to-be in their parenting journey. But as the time passed, I broaden my vision and now want to make this a platform where a digital mom shares her personal journey with the world and inspires the people to do something meaningful in their lives.

Tell us a bit about your family. Who is your biggest support?

My parents have been my biggest support even after marriage. They motivate me when I feel low. My husband always encourages me to try new things and stands as a rock solid support behind me.

That was Neha from digimother. How did you like her interview ?
