One detox water which helps me every day, especially in summer is cucumber water. Busy days can take a toll and when you don’t drink enough water acidity is a common problem. It’s probably a condition which everyone faces sometime or the other.
Cucumbers make no majestic claims but are an amazing fruit which works great not only as a filler, but also to counteract acidity.
In this post:
It contains alkaline potassium, magnesium, calcium. Studies have been done testing the antacid effect of cucumber. Interestingly it has been seen that cucumber has a significant, and longer duration of consistent acid fighting and neutralizing capacity.
The highest antacid capacity was shown by cold milk and broccoli. This was comparable to ENO and sodium bicarbonate.
When you want to incorporate food which fights acidity, helps you become stronger and has no downside, then cucumbers are hard to beat. If you feel bored eating cucumber salads every day, the best solution is detox water.
Make it simple
- Use cucumber and mint
